Frequently asked questions

Is it accurate?

It's a guide valuation, but a serious one: we compare your car with real listings that are on sale today in your country and adjust for its condition. It's a solid reference for setting a price, not a firm offer to buy.

Can I value my car from the license plate alone?

No. CarSage doesn't use the license plate: you start from the car's details — make, model, year, fuel and mileage — and the photos you upload. From there the AI spots the damage and looks for comparable listings to work out the price.

How much does it cost? Is there a free version?

CarSage is paid from the first minute: the Pro subscription costs €4.99 a month or €29.99 a year (that works out at €2.50/month). The annual plan includes a 3-day free trial; cancel before it ends and you're charged nothing. The App Store charges you in your country's currency.

How long does a valuation take?

A couple of minutes. While you wait, CarSage analyzes your photos, scans the used car market in your country and works out the price range on a speedometer.

Do I need to sign up?

No. You get a valuation without creating an account or handing over your details. Open the app and start.

What data does the AI use?

The car details you enter — make, model, year, fuel and mileage — and the photos you upload. That's what it uses to detect the damage and find comparable listings.

Is this like an inspection or a dealer appraisal?

No. It's not a mechanical inspection and it's not an official appraisal: it's a guide estimate made with AI from real listings for sale in your country. It helps you put a sensible price on a car before you sell or buy, but it doesn't replace having the car checked over, and it isn't a firm offer to buy.

Can I cancel?

Whenever you like, from your subscriptions in the App Store. If you cancel during the 3-day trial, you're charged nothing.

Which countries does it work in?

Most of them. CarSage picks up your country from your App Store account and compares with the used car listings in that market, in its currency and its units (kilometers or miles). There are 25 fine-tuned markets across Europe, the Americas, Oceania, Africa and Asia; if yours isn't one of them, the AI still searches the main local listing sites.
